September the 11th was our Big Brothers Big Sisters Annual Picnic. This year was the 1st year for either of us to go because last year I got food poisoning and could leave the bathroom floor for more than 15 seconds at a time. It was lovely:).
So this year I was determined to get us there and for us to have a wonderful time with everything they had to offer!
She is the sweetest kid in the world!
There was a huge turnout that day. They said there were over 500 people that came out. Under the pavilion there were board games set up at all the tables as well as another pavilion across the street with arts and crafts. Out in the field behind this we had flag football, relay races and tug-o-war! We had so much fun!
They also had a hula hoop contest but we were tug-o-warin' at the time so we didn't get to watch that one.
After we tried to hula for a minute and neither one of us were any good at it! ha ha
Arby's provided us with lunch for the day as well as shakes for all the Little's. It was great!
A few of the Little's lining up to get their shakes.
After the shakes they announced that they were going to have a dance contest!
This big was helping her little get ready to do her thang!
This sweet little girl helped to get it started! She was such a great dancer!
And then little man came out of no where and showed us what he had!
Is he not the cutest little guy ever!!
Before you know it......
They were all out there doing the "Stanky leg".
It was such a great time!
Thanks Big Brothers Big Sisters!
It looks like a fun time! I love it when kids just get out there and move without being self-conscious.
ReplyDeleteI agree! They have no problem when they are that age. I hate how kids get older and start to make fun of each other. It ruins the fun for them with things like this. There were quite a few that REALLY wanted to get out there but didn't have the confid. to do so.
